Just when you thought this would be another boring film review show Matt Pirruccio along with his director Bryan Dominchini deliver an entertaining flawless execution of a flip-flop film review show.
The vibe on the set was relaxed even as Matt took charge fixing a playback machine almost missing the group picture. Bryan instructs people that the shots will be straightforward in order to ensure a flawless show. Brent is working really hard to document the show with his excellent craft of picture taking.
The rehearsal went without a hitch, can they pull it off again when the clock hits 5:15?
The show is cleverly crafted with 2 movie critics supposedly reviewing the top 10 films of all time. You realize that this is a spoof as soon as you see a mega shark taking down a 747 in a completely cheesy film. They go on to hail the film as some great success. Attack of the Saber Tooth rolls in the same fashion. Lastly they review movie trailers that seem to be cut just a bit differently than the original. What does that mean? Well will you just have to watch the show and find out.
The show itself did in fact go very well, at times the laughter in the control room was off the hook when the talent went into improve mode. It’s a good thing because one of the playback machines went down and the talent had a clever comeback to make the show work.
At the end of the day everybody got to go home happy.
