Humber Connected: The Weekly Show!
For the second show my position was photographer/blogger. I like the idea of getting an on looker perspective of how a show is ran and the technical setup of things. I made it my mission to sit in on both studio and control room so I can see how production crew runs both. I also sat in with the other crew members who were outside both rooms like playback and audio and made sure to capture each person and position in their element.
At one point when I went over to audio I noticed that they had trouble getting the sound up, and they weren't quite sure what the problem was at the time. After observing the situation with them I figured out that the tone (red) switch was off on the audio board, so once I turned it on the audio crew member was able to hear the blues and mics for testing. It was nice to know I walked in at the right time to help them out and they were appreciative about that. During my show I was busy working alongside my director and crew to get my show going that I wasn't able to kind of see the bigger picture of how everyone communicated through the whole thing overall so when I was blogger I watched the second show director and producer get the crew together and it was nice to kind of watch the whole preparation process between the crew.
The pictures I've taken captured a unified, happy, team work, cooperative environment between director, producer and production crew. They all did their part to deliver the best show they could and the best part was seeing all the smiles and support each brought to make that day a memorable one.
